Black & Brew Coffee House & Bistro

After a little bit of an absence on my blog here (lots of projects @ work) I've decided to come out of hiding to announce the addition of WIFI @ Black @ Brew.  The owners decided to put it in and it went live today!  While it is free wifi, you do have to ask them @ the counter for the WEP key.  But they don't plan on changing the key, so once you get it you're good to go from then on.  Also new @ B&B starting today is 4 new breakfast sandwhiches (Sausage Egg Cheese Panini, Sausage Egg Cheese Bagel, Bacon Egg Cheese Panini, Bacon Egg Cheese Bagel). Come check em out….I personally like the Italian Chicken Panini for Lunch or Dinner.

Google Modules

For the Personalized Google Page….This site has a couple of good ones….I recommend the Friends’ Flickrz and the US Traffic Information module…The Flickr one allows you to see actual pictures from your contacts in a module on the google page…you can change the time that each pictures stays up there…from like 5 secs to 1 hour…..the traffic information module…you put in your zip and how many miles away from the zip and it shows you traffic/accidents on a google map…pretty nice

Just wanted to let you know in case you were wondering….If you’d like I can give you a recent example…here goes..

So, I go down to my friends’ coffee shop and sit down to have a “meeting”… As I’m sitting down I see someone that I’ve never met in person and I’ve only read parts of the different blogs he posts on…So after talking with him and finishing up the meeting I head back to the house….There I check out one of the blogs I was introduced to earlier and see a post about the time just spent @ Black and Brew….Inside this post I notice a few links….Checking out the ones @ the bottom I find a website of an old friend of mine from high school that I haven’t talked with in a while…From there I get his contact info and give him a call….

 Small world made smaller via the blogosphere…..

BTW Great Hot Chocolate you got goin on there Black and Brew….

New Brighthouse Service

Brighthouse is coming out to give me the Business class with the Static Ip…We’ll see if that helps any with my Asterisk box I have running….It’s been choppy a few times I’ve done tests…

GOOGLE SMS

Okay so maybe I’m late to the game on this one…..I didn’t know that Nextels were capable of sending text messages to all those SMS numbers you see on commercials…You know…Text 55512 and get the joke of the day! commercials….anyways….You can text Google by sending a text message to their SMS # 46645 Here is a link to some of the things you can do with this….. The first one I tried was:

and Google sent me two messages back showing the restaurants and phone #s and address….Pretty sweet I think…
